I was saddened to learn of David's passing.  He was married to my friend Eve - who passed away more than a year ago, and was next door neighbor's to friends of ours, who have also passed away.    A sad neighborhood.

David and I were confirmed in the local Episcopal church when we were teenagers and we were the only ones of Armenian descent to be confirmed and thus, the wording of our confirmation was slightly different because the pastor had contacted the Armenian church in Paterson, NJ to understand the protocol of confirming an Armenian who had been baptized in the Armenian church.  David was a warm, loving person and had I known he made all those wonderful Armenian desserts, I would have camped out on his doorstep.  His obituary, which I just read, is a testatment to the man that he was and I know he'll be missed greatly.  Adrianne Sosanie

Adrianne - I can attest to his cooking and baking skills....everything was excellent.   When Eve hosted book club, David did the cooking and baking - we could have eaten for days with everything he made....we stuffed ourselves because everything was so good.     But - we did discuss the book!    Nice memories :)

My heart always jumps when an email pops up with "FLHS In Memory addition."  It hits even harder when the name belongs to someone I was closer to.  I also attended the same church with David and Adrianne.  I think I was in the same confirmation class.  High school friends are supposed to be around forever.  I'm sure we all remember Dave's warm smile and his red '59 Chevy convertible.  David, we'll all miss you.

So sad to hear of David's passing. He and I  spoke at length about a year ago.  We shared stories of our Armenian heritage and FLHS stories.  We are at a time in our life that every day is a gift from God.  Adrianne and Lynn was the Episcopal Church " Church of the Atonement"? I was Baptized ( age 12)  and Confirmed in that church as well.   I think Ed Post was also a member then.

Yes, it was the "Church of the Atonement" on 4th Street.

Sorry I forgot about you Lynn, and the name of the church too.  I like to think I have a good memory and then my lack thereof slaps me in the face!  Fond memories of the church times.  They were good to the youth there.
