Carol lived around the corner from us in the grammar school years. While we were not friends in high school, I am saddened by the loss. My condolences to her family.
Carol and I were in elementary school and in Brownies together . In fact her Mom was our troop leader. Now seeing her recent picture, can't believe the resemblance . Rest in peace Carol.
I met Carol when I played Little League Baseball. She appeared and stated she liked the way I wore my hat. It's funny the the things you remember. Every now and then Carol would attend a game I was playing, and we would chat. I am so sorry to hear of her passing. My best wishes to her family
Sad to hear of Carol's passing. We first met in Kindergarten at Roosevelt School. I recall her as my first "girlfriend," Although those feelings didn't last into first grade, I always viewed her as a friend, great classmate, and one of the kindest people in the class of '59. I think of her with fondness and now in good hands. I hope her passing reminds us all of how fortunate we've been for all these years and how soon fleeting are the remaining ones we have to enjoy and serve others in this life. Thanks, Carol.
Just this past year Carol and I had reconnected. We talked on the phone remebering our times together all through elementary school and scouting. Her mother was a great, dedicated leader and I was "one of hers" for quite a few years -- until high school. I am deeply saddened.
Carol and I were friends in HS but had not maintained contact. Thanks to this great site I found that Carol and I had at least a couple of things in common - we both had been, for some time, and still were living in Virginia and we both became librarians. I contacted her thru this venue and I'm sorry that we never got together. Good lesson on not putting things off . Judy
