Sorry to hear about Barbara's death - in addtion to being classmates, we were co-workers at Memorial Pool. She was a sweet person. My condolences to her family. Herb Freitag
Sorry to hear of Barbara’s passing. She was one of the gang of 3 girls who first got my attention in my elementary school years at Roosevelt. Furnessia McGinnis and Joyce Gerisch were the other two. This gang of Class of 1959ers all lived on the 17th St., Summit Ave., Morlot Ave triangle. Our numbers are diminishing. But the memories still fresh. Just another reminder of how precious these remaining days of our lives are. Live them to the fullest. Proverbs 3:5-6 still remains my life verse.
So sorry to hear of Barbara's passing. She lived across the street from me on 17th street, so I've known her since early childhood. She was the backstroke in our great medly relay team with Nessia (butterfly), Carol (freestyle) and me (breaststroke). Later on we all did synchronized swimming together. It's sad that half of our team are gone. Barbara was a sweet and caring person. I will miss her.
So sorry to hear of Barbara's passing. We were friends from childhood, elementary school, college and beyond. Barbara was one of my bride's maids and I valued her friendship. Unfortunately after Barbara married and moved away, we lost contact. My sympathy to her family; I know she will be dearly missed.
