No, no!  What sad news.  My memories of Carol were all good and fun, and happy.  Our prayers and condolences go out to her friends and family.  She was too young.

I am shocked about this. We corresponded several times in the last few years. I so admired her and her strength of character. My thoughts and prayers go out to her friends and family.

The Class of '59 has lost a jewel !

PS I saw Carol on a TV commercial once that featured synchronized swimming and once on TV when she and some others were being interviewed about their swimming. I loved seeing her. jmr

Carol and I were good friends in junion high.  I remember going to Memorial Park and watch her swim with the swim team. She was so graceful.  Even though we chose diferent activities, and didn't "hang out" in high school, we were still friends. My condolences to her family.  A good person has left us.  God speed...  Nancy Schuman Liedel

My dear, dear friend -- how I miss you!  Though we were far apart geographically,  we remained close and visited at least once a year.  You helped to shape who I am today.  And boy! -- did we have fun!.  Some of the things we did together will forever be my fondest memories.  We hatched chickens on your furnace,  fished and hunted turtles in Morlot Pond, had lots of sleepovers, you taught me how to twirl a baton, we experimented in the kitchen baking all kinds of goodies, went fish shooting with your dad's canoe and your brother's cross bow,  got into all kinds of trouble, but lots of fun, with P.J. parties (remember tobogganing in East Side Park the wee hours of the morning -- in our PJ's and boots), decorated many a goal post, took trips to the Jersey Shore, worked together as swim instructors at Memorial Park, and drove from San Antonio, TX to NJ (via Canada ?) in your VW Beetle.  I was your maid of honor and you my matron of honor.  I cannot say "good bye."  So, till we meet again....
