SADDLE BROOK - Burton E. Babcock, 62, died Friday.
Born in Paterson, he lived in Clifton before moving here in 1974. Mr. Babcock, a member of Teamsters Local 478, Union, was a truck driver at Decker Transport, Riverdale, for two years, and previously at Linden Motor Freight for 30 years. A Vietnam War Navy veteran, he was a life member and past commander of Post 3484, Veterans of Foreign Wars. He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Passaic.
Surviving are his wife, the former Marlene Redl; a son, Daniel of West Milford; a daughter, Tracy Mills of Elmwood Park; and three grandchildren.
Kamienski Funeral Home, 207 Ray St., Garfield, is in charge of arrangements.

Burton could pull a motor out of an old Ford and replace it with another in about an Hour. I saw him do it.
