Just stoped in to say hi. Grandaughter and I are going to watch some TV. Wobsley somebody is on. She is a treat. She served us all with a little tea set I bought in Jordan. She touches the little cups together and says cheers. Too funny.

Ron I have plenty of Bull for you

Howdy...Anyone on to chat with tonight?

03/09/09 10:08 PM #3170

Ron Yantz

Hi Cindy!
I just checked to see what people thought of all my bull stories. I have MANY more!!

Roe, that bull's name was George. We've had something like four "George"s over the years. My Dad usually calls them that, because I bought a bull from Camack Farms one time, and the guy's name was "George". The latest bulls were called "Freddy", because the guy's name was "Fred". Silly...I know.
One of the "Freddy"s got out once, and he was a little 'taller' than the average Angus, so he had the neighbors buffaloed. When I went there to get him, he took a few runs at me, like he had those people, so I went into the tree line, and got a big hunk of post. The next time he ran at me, I side steped and swung my bat. SMACK! Right between the eyes. "Freddy" turned around and RAN right onto the trailer, no more problems.

I've had to "calibrate" a few HOLSTEIN bulls, too, but those are stories for another night (over beers)!!

Cindy, I'm looking for a herd bull. I have a total of thiry ladies, ten of which are heifers. I'd like an older gentleman, who can service these girls for a few good years. I don't want them bred until June/July (Yes, I know that's a BAD/HOT time of year, but I've had really good 'luck' for years), as I don't like to have them calve when I'm over @ Cooper, or when its so darn cold (like this past few weeks -- we've got 12 of the 20 delivered so far). I'm usually "home" from April 15 till the crops are planted, so watching the girls then works out for me.

Good morning everyone. Cold, windy and icy here in Lincolnland. For those of us that don't have garages it was the devil trying to scrape the ice off. A few accidents already this morning due to slick roads.

Cindy so glad to hear your sale went well especially with all the hard work you and your family put into it.

Ron loved the jokes and stories. Believe it or not, your not the only family that named their bulls or horses after the name they bought them from. Junkers did it all the time.

Bill good to hear from you. Hope your chewing into those steaks and hamburgers good.

Jim K good to hear from you too. Glad you had a great time while you were here. The girls did great.

Matt don't stick your tongue to the pipes today.

Nippler, hope you don't have to fly on these nasty days. That would scare me to death.

Cindy G I think I smell some baking going on today in F-town.

I'll try and touch base tomorrow but will be headed on a 16 hour drive to Tuskegee Al. Kenny lost his brother yesterday morning. This is the third year in a row that we have traveled for his family's funernals. I guess it true what they say, things happen in 3's.

To everyone I wish you a great day. For those that have to travel in this nasty weather, go slow and be safe.

Hugssss...

Ron, I just spoke to Dave. I think we have a bull that will work great for you. He is a Homozygous Black double polled purebred bull. He is a 2004 Fall bull. His sire is JRI Extra Exposure, the 2002 National Champion in Denver. WE have used him on heifers and cows. The birthweights have been 80 to 88 pounds. Let me know soon if you are interested. WE have another couple from Missouri that need another herd sire too. This bull is around the Hanover area...so it would be close for you to look at him if you like. Thank you for your interest!

Big Boy,
With all the Bullshit goin on, do you have security at your School???

03/11/09 01:35 PM #3187

Ron Yantz

Cindy P/J; I'm certainly interested in the Bull you and Dave have suggested. I'm also checking into a few of my previous "suppliers", to see what they have available. I will call you guys sometime in the next few days (no later than Monday) to go over the important details, like the $$$$$$ and where I can look him over.

Thanks for checking into what you have available! I really appreciate this.

Ron.

PS: If you (and/or any of the rest of the Classmates) want to "hear" any more of my "bull" stories, just let me know. I can re-tell "bull" stories for hours!!!!

Lori Compton (Muller)

Thank you all for the special birthday wishes to Opie and myself. I had an absolutely fantastic and wonderful birthday as I received a gift from my entire family that completes a collection I have been doing for quite awhile now!

I will try and bring all of you up to date on Nancy. My understanding is her most recent diagnosis has revealed new lesions in her brain and additional cancer was found in her hips. She is undergoing a regiman of 14 more radiation treatments for the new cancer findings. She has a hole in her hip and the doctors say that if she moves wrong, stands wrong, rolls over in bed wrong or even sits wrong it could result in her breaking her hip. She is fighting this tooth and nail and again I ask all of you to keep her in your prayers!

Need to get to bed as W-C Boys Basketball team plays in the State BBall tournament tomorrow. We are the underdogs but none the less we made it this far. Last time we made it to state was in 1991 so fans are truly excited to be going. Win or lose! Just makes me think of our graduating year when we took State! Goose Bumps!

Take care everyone and thank you again.

Lori...Thank you for the update on Nancy....what a fighter she is!!!

Ron...We are all ears (or eyes, in this case) on the bull stories! Ron, we love your jokes...keep them coming!

WE just had another calf...we are getting down to the bottom of the barrell, only 13 left.
