Joan Katherine Wainwright Hatter

Joan Hatter passed away at age 66 on Dec. 27, 2017, after a long battle with Huntington’s Disease. She is survived by her husband, Paul; sons, Christopher and Brian and their wives, Megan and Sarah, respectively; as well as, her father, Harty Wainwright; sisters, Cecilia Haberman and her husband, Lynn, Tena Kordes and her husband, Bill; brother, David and his wife, Michelle; six grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Joan was the first four-year valedictorian at Fairfield High, graduating in 1969, and went to Fresno State College on academic scholarship.

She worked for many years as a full-charge bookkeeper and office manager.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 11, 2018, at Farewell Funeral Home, 660 W. Locust Ave., Fresno, California. Interment will be at noon Friday, Jan. 12, 2018, at Sanger Cemetery, 568 S. Rainbow Ave., Sanger, California.
