Went to Grasmere with Larry and we did a lot of fishing behind his house on Quaker Lane and pond at Gould Manor park. I remember Larry burning off his eyebrows using the magnesium from his Gilbert Chemistry set.
Larry and I were BFF's in 7th and 8th grades at Grasmere School. We went boating, fishing, and camping together. Larry was always a bit of a dare devil, never afraid to try some unusual prank. I remember him putting a shotgun shell in a vise in his basement then firing it with a hammer and nail. It's a wonder we're still alive.
In high school we gradually drifted apart from Freshman to Senior years. I think it was partly due to me dating one of his girlfriends, even though I explained that she was the one who approached me about going out on a date together.
At UCONN he met his gorgeous wife on a blind date. He was blown away that such an attractive young woman didn't have a lot of young men to choose from for a date.
