Michael "Shane" Krystynak, 18, passed away on Saturday, June 5, 2004, at Charleston Area Medical Center. Born June 22, 1985, at Greenbrier Valley Hospital, he was the son of Charles Lee Krystynak, Jr. of Ronceverte, and Barbara Dawn Rudd of Renick. Shane was of the Baptist faith, attended Calvary Baptist Church in Lewisburg, and was a member of the Archery Club at Greenbrier East High School. He graduated from Greenbrier East High School in 2003. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Lawrence Rudd, and paternal grandmother, Norma Chambliss. A celebration of his life was held on Wednesday, June 9, at Calvary Baptist Church, Lewisburg, where Pastor Jonathan Comer officiated. Burial was in Greenbrier Memorial Gardens, Lewisburg. Shane was an organ donor. His organs saved seven lives, provided tissue for over 200 applicants and allowed two individuals to have the gift of sight.
