Yes, yes! Get that rocking 80s dress up there!

Are you sure Minotti's doesn't carry the 2 liters?

09/14/08 08:57 PM #73

Lynn Paton (Mehrhoff)

I don't think 2 liters are made any more, but they still make those little bottles. I think my dad is the only one who drinks them!

Seeing Lisa Luckadoos name mentioned a few times, brings back a good post FHS memory. I was at a benefit in Chicago several years ago and her name (there couldn't be two, could there?) was on the board member list. I was practically crying, I was laughing so hard, but never got around to meeting her to thank her for all of the memories (or lack thereof) that she provided us.

why does this keep running through my head..."We're running out of beer and I don't see why we can't get some money and visit Vinny" I know you remember that one, Bruce!

Hey Paula-great job on this website!! I'm sorry to say that I, too, am addicted to it. I just got my power back on (it went off Sunday afternoon) and the first thing I did was revisit this site to see what I've missed. Can't wait to see everybody next summer.

Hey everyone! It's Kelly Evanko! Love the site! I guess I have been out of touch for a looooong time! It looks as though everyone has been quite busy for the last twenty years!Looking forward to seeing everyone next year! I see everyone is having wine cooler flashbacks aren't we forgetting to give Mr Bartles and James their due???

Erika, We all loved Vinny! I can't believe you guys drank in High School! You probably smoked dope too!

Bob, thanks for the embarrassing reminder of strip poker at my house I thought twenty years was enough time to erase that from my brain. Thanks for the memories!!

Erika Winebrener (Kolonick)

Kelly... it seems many of us are remembering some wild times at the Evanko house. Was I ever there...

09/18/08 07:30 PM #81

Kelly Evanko

Yes! I think the whole school was,at one point if not all the surrounding schools from N.E. Ohio! Oh and Bob it was strip blackjack not poker! Jason's New Years Eve party in "87 was a blast too! I do not think his parents thought so though when they brought their friends back to a trashed house and the only thing left to drink was the water in the kitchen sink! Good times!

Hello to all of you!

The website looks great! It's nice to see pictures of everyone and all the beautiful kids! I agree with you Bob, the kids will definately out number us at the reunion.

My niece is a freshman at FHS and was in a play in the spring, I walked through the halls of the school and, boy, the memories that brought back! So many changes, including the blue lockers in the hallway by the library are missing!

I hope to see many of you at the homecoming game next Friday night.

Kelly - That's right. I remember doubling down and losing both of my socks!
Do you remember listening to Garrison Keillor in Mr. Livingood's US History class? What was up with that? I guess there were some days he just didn't feel like teaching. I met his daughter at OSU. She graduated in 89 also.
And I do remember Jason's New Years Eve party. There were people all over the house. I have a hazy memory of someone losing their lunch on Theresa Eble's front lawn as we were all being taken home.

Bruce - I remember buying some beer at Vinny's and driving back to Kathleen's house (which was about 500 feet from Lorain). I think you got your Chevelle up to 70 mph in that distance and the cop followed you into Kathleen's drive. Mr. Eble came over to vouch for you and told the cop that you were a "good kid". Remember that? How could he have been so mistaken?

Hello Everyone, I found some rather old photos of some of you in a box and I posted them under my profile so if you want a really good laugh pop over there but remember I only took the photos I did not dress people!!

Kelly Evanko

Bob, I do remember listening to something in Mr. Livengood's class what it was I think I tuned it out unless he slammed his infamous stick on the table! I remember constantly copying questions off the board though! You only lost your socks lucky you! how was it that the girls lost everything? Card counting perhaps? I do remember Randy and Duke getting down to their tighty whities one time! SEXY!!!!!!!!!!!

Ah Homecoming, I wish I could be there but I will just have to hear they lost when my dad tells me how bad they suck! McDonald's won't be the same without veteran Crazy Kurt he was there for every class until the end. My parents friend's sons said he still hung out with the high school kids but I think their new hangout was the "Bee" (applebee's) as my parents call it. R.I.P. Crazy Kurt!!!!! OMG, are we old?

I still have more old photos I just have to find them but my husbands is in the Air Force and we have moved many many times and they are all in boxes in my garage. I will keep looking though. So who knows how many other cute old photos I will find!!!

I burned all the pictures of me with my awesome asymetrical fro! God what was I thinking? I think that we have all come a long way in the looks department, and believe that the 80's should never come back! I live in New Jersey and it seems that the whole state is stuck in an 80's time warp and not in a good way! I can get a can of aqua net any time day or night! I do not think they have heard of straightening irons out here! Oh and the mullet is uber popular here! WTF? People look at me like I am the crazy one for having straight hair and not following Bruce Springsteen and Bon Jovi! I was at a bar the other night and stuck out like a sore thumb because my outfit did not contain acid washed tapered jeans and acrylic, and may God strike me dead this one girl told me I looked out of place! All I could say was THANK YOU GOD!!!

Melissa Miller (Reitz)

Hello all! Anyone go to the Homecoming game last night? If so, did you grab a drink at Gunselman's? HAHA! We met last week about the reunion and agree with everyone that the kids will definately out number the adults at the picnic on Sunday. We think Bain Park will be too small, and there is very little parking. That weekend we also believe they will still be playing baseball games at Bolken. Anyone have any suggestions on where else we can hold the family gathering that Sunday?

09/27/08 11:36 AM #93

Deirdre Berkopec (Roselli)

I had other plans for last night, so I missed the game. I just looked up the scores on Channel 8's website. Fairview won! They beat Firelands with a score of 21-14. Go Warriers!!!

In terms of the Sunday picnic, how about Swings-N-Things? They have a private picnic area and there would be a lot to keep the kids entertained.

Link to there group outings page:
http://www.swings-n-things.com/public/groups/

Link to their private picnic pavilions: http://www.swings-n-things.com/public/the_park/picnic_pavilions/

Or, how about the big shelter at the Cleveland zoo or one of the big shelters in the Metro Parks.

Melissa-

Elmwood Park in Rocky River is very nice. Has a pavilion with a kitchen and bathrooms inside. Playground and baseball field too. Can't recall if there were basketball hoops. However, you need to be a resident of Rocky River to reserve it and not sure if there is a fee. Also books up very quickly in the summer. Do we have a Rocky River resident that can check to see if it's available on Sunday, August 2, 2009?
