March 27th is the death anniversary for Rupie. It's now sixteen (16) years(1993-2009). Memories are vivid.
Most of us have been taught that death is the ultimate end. Death is frightening; it is dark, the unknown, beyond our control. We resist death; we brace ourselves against it; we run away because we do not understand death merely means change. When single people marry, their single life dies. As people age, their days of youth are gone. Death is the prerequisite of change. When we become willing to change, we learn to accept death as a meaningful new beginning. We may never like the idea of death; it may never make us comfortable; however, when we want to change anything in life, we must be willing to face death.
Rupie was a born again Pentecostal Christian...and that's simply beautiful!
Hey Arlene, i admire your strength,Rupert will never be forgotten he brought joy and laughter into so many lives , he was definetly here for a purpose which iam sure he fulfilled. One Love Sis.
Arlene you could not have said it any better...changes come along as a result of death. We who are still alive let us use the loss of our love ones to examine our lives and make preparation for death (Rupie did) You may have lost a brother but heaven gained an angel. My his soul rest in eternal peace.
I am just now learning of Ruperts death and I am in a maze. Rupert was a friend and I am truly saddened to learn of his passing. Condolence to his family especially to Arlene. May his soulrest in peace
