May his soul rest in peace, I remember him from his days at Knibb as a soccer player. We'll indeed understand it better all by and by.

Dear Winston may your soul rest in peace. I will never forget the day we heard the news that he drowned. He was very easy going and best friends with the guys from Hague: Shaun, Puddy, Agey etc. Twenty something years has passed and his memory is still fresh just like his name "freshfruit".

Winston Churchill Leslie (jr.)aka. Freshfruit born 2/4/1968, was not only a son but a true friend. Attended Falmouth All Age then moved on to William Knibb Memorial High School were his final tuition was ended.

A loving and friendly person, one who always makes you laugh. Your time here on earth was short but left lots of memories behind. As i watched you grow, i see a humble, peaceful and respectful young man who had alot for respect for elders.

These standards set by you tells me that you could have been a very prosperous man. But time shortened, it was sunset on the 26/6/1985. You were special to all of us family members and those who knew you well.

Now God have called you home, and it's for a reason, at that time hopefully you were connected on that flight to heaven where we hope to meet someday. May your soul rest in peace.

Sadly Missed by Father Winston Snr.

TRIBUTE TO MY SON
Junior, gone too soon and still you remain in my heart.Who am I to question God's plan? He created you and chose to take you at a very tender age,it hurts but God knows best.
Junior was a kind, fun loving, mannerly young man,one you would always want to be around. Son I still remember those days sitting on the veranda and you would come around hugging and playing with me,that was special to me.You would tell me all the nice things you planned to do for me when you got older....I miss those days.
Freshfruit I watched you grow to a tender age of seventeen, tall muscular and fresh just as your name indicates. We always enjoyed each others company...then you left me. I always liked to sneak and watch you walk toward the bus stop, you were always so neat. Rest in peace son and I hope to see you again one day over that promise land. LOVE MOM

In loving memory of my dearly beloved brother. In so many ways you are missed and even though it has been this long, I can still remember all the times you spent with us on earth. You were a gift from God and in your time you touched many lives in your own way. I know we will all get to see you one day again.

Gone too soon, but always present in spirit and mind. Thanks for being a brother and a friend.

Love always.

I too will never forget the unfortunate day we heard of his very untimely passing...but as his Mom said...who am I to question God or to doubt him? He was really a nice guy and one I am quite certain would be a pillar of our community...not to mention maybe a star in the soccer world.

I am sure he is still missed...and fondly remembered! May his soul rest in peace until...

Freshfruit, was the kidda guy you could not forget after meeting him. He was always cool, calm, relaxed and always made you feel comfortable around him.

He also never seems to like to attract too much attention to himself. But one day (in 9th grade)when we were getting ready to go for PE session (football), the true hero within this gentle giant shone very brightly.

We were changing into out PE gears under the big gungo tree closest to the eastern end of the football field. (that was the one closest to the canefields and furthest from the auditorium at that time). A number of guys were there including myself, Delmar Sherrieff, and Freshfruit, talking and getting ready for the games. When suddenly,Delmarr, whom we had no idea was epileptic, collapsed and started having a very bad epiliptic attack. To us young boys, who never had much understanding of this kind of sickness at the time, it seems as if he was about to die.

It was frieghtening and we all did not know what to do but stand and stare with great panic. But also to our amazement, Freshfruit, sprang into action and with little hesitation, quickly picked up Delmarr off the ground and sprinted all the way from the guango tree to the sick room so that Delmarr could be treated by the nurse. The distance was easily over 200 metres, and with Delmarr craddled in his arms and running, we could not keep up behind him. He outpaced us all the way and up the stairs to the sick room.

His quick thinking and galant actions, i am sure saved Delmarr's life or prevented any further harm to our classmate on that very faithful day.

For us boys who witmessed this selfless and brave act, he was a great hero that day, and surely made an indelible mark on my life about what true heroes are made of. I am sure a lot of people never knew this about Freashfruit.

To Winston "Freshfruit" Leslie, a gentle soul and a hero. May your soul rest in peace.
