Ms. Cristina "Tina" Cecilia Marfisi Varnadoe, 34, of Fayetteville, slipped away from us Wednesday, Nov. 12, 2008. Tina was born Feb. 17, 1974, to Michelle and Felipe Marfisi in Fayetteville. She graduated from Pine Forest High School and attended Fayetteville State University. Tina's life was far too brief, but she touched many lives. Daughter, sister, niece, friend and mom were only a few of the titles that were special in her heart. Her mom, Michelle, describes Tina as kind and generous. The unconditional love that was shown by her mom was a source of comfort and hope for Tina throughout her life. Her sister, Natalie, remembers the laughter, Christmas mornings, Ferris wheel rides, big wheels and bunny rabbit pets and the friendship and love that they shared growing up together. Family and friends recall her infectious laugh and how her smile would light up a room. Her children remember the trip to Disney World, shopping trips, the beach, her quick wit and simply being with her. A giving heart, brilliant mind, talented musician, humorous and always trying to become stronger describes the person who we knew as "Tina." Tina will always live in the hearts and minds of the ones who look forward to seeing her again. Tina is survived by her three children, Kayla, AJ and Haylee; her mother, Michelle Marfisi; father, Felipe Marfisi; sister, Natalie Swann; grandmother, Suzanne du Sablon; aunt, Simone duSablon; uncle, Gregory du Sablon; and great aunt, Grace Coty. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made at any N.C. State Employees Credit Union in the name of Michelle Marfisi Family Tragedy Account, for the Varnadoe children's educational fund. The family will receive friends from 6 to 9 tonight, Nov. 16 2008, at Jernigan-Warren Funeral Home in Fayetteville. Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Monday, Nov. 17, 2008, in St. Ann Catholic Church, 365 N. Cool Spring St., Fayetteville. Services entrusted to Jernigan-Warren Funeral Home of Fayetteville.
