Nora Sellars - Class Of 1976

Nora Lynn Fruge, 62, of Warren passed away December 12, 2020.

Born June 4, 1958 to Mary A. Durand and Nolan Sellers, she graduated in 1976 from Douglas Byrd High School in Fayetteville, NC.  Nora trained as EMS/Paramedic and worked for Cumberland County, NC.  She met Alan in Opelousas Community Choir Louisiana in September 1980.  She was engaged on December 14, 1980 and married the love of her life on August 14, 1981.  She served alongside Alan in ministry for 39 years.  Nora worked in medical, education, financial and legal occupations. Nora never met a stranger and was truly loved by everyone she met.  We all love you Pea!

Nora was preceded in death by her father, Nolan J. Sellers; mother, Mary A. Montet; step father, Julius J. “Skip” Montet; sister, Pattie A. Conroy; and her beloved pet pug, Maggie Sue Fruge.

She is survived by her loving husband of 39 years, Alan W. Fruge of Warren; children, Jonathan B. Fruge and wife, Susie of Lubbock and Hanna Lynn Andrews and husband, Kenyon of Lubbock; grandchildren, Aayden James Andrews, Charlotte Alyce Fruge and Shirley Joyce Fruge; stepsister, Molly Young of Shepherd; fifteen nieces and nephews and ten great nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be held Wednesday, December 16, 2020, at 11 am at the Bethel Baptist Church in Warren with Brother Larry Staggs officiating.  Visitation will be held Wednesday, December 16, 2020, from 10 am until the time of the service.  A graveside service will be held Friday, December 18, 2020 at 11 am at the Peaceful Gardens Cemetery in Lubbock, Tx with Brother Adam Pardue officiating.

Serving as pallbearers will be Jonathan Fruge, Kenyon Andrews, Seth Fontenot, Judson Fontenot, Hayden Fontenot and Greg Bryan.  Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Tommy Clark, Carlos Gutierrez-Allard, Scott Rash, Aubrey Scott Fruge and Aayden James Andrews.

In lieu of flowers, please donate to the American Diabetes Association, American Heart Association, Dubuis Hospital Unit of St. Elizabeth or a charity of your choice in Nora’s honor.
