In Memory

Nancy Huskey - Class Of 1977

Nancy Huskey Straw, 58, of Lemoyne, died peacefully in her home Sunday, evening after a two-year battle with cancer, surrounded by her four siblings.

A memorial service will be held 10 a.m. Saturday June 9, 2018, at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church, Mechanicsburg, with the Rev. Canon Robert Schreiber presiding.

Nancy was the mother of three sons, and an active member of her church. She worked as an administrative assistant at Deloitte Consulting in Camp Hill. She will be remembered especially for her upbeat attitude and sense of humor even in the midst of her illness.

Born August 13, 1959 in Colorado Springs, CO to Ronald Huskey and Helene (McGuire) Huskey, Nancy grew up in an Army family, and lived all over the country. Her parents settled in Fayetteville, NC when she was 10 years old, eventually attending Douglas Byrd High School, from which she graduated in 1977, and Appalachian State University.

Nancy is preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her sons, Lawrence Wilfred McNinch III, Jonathon McNinch, and Adam Straw; and her siblings, Elizabeth Huskey Simmons, Kathleen Huskey, Michael Huskey, and Juliet Huskey.

Her cremains will be interred at St. Paul’s-in-the-Pines Episcopal Church, Fayetteville, NC in the near future. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be given to St. Luke’s Episcopal Church, Mechanicsburg, or Homeland Hospice (especially casseroles).
