John Everage - Class Of 1978

John Worth Kern Everage, Jr., 55, of Raeford, died January 17, 2015. Born in Cumberland County, he is the son of Doris Everage and the late John Worth Kern Everage, Sr. John graduated from Douglas Byrd High School in 1978. He was the owner and operator of Southern I Tactical in Fayetteville. John had many hobbies. He enjoyed being near the ocean and fishing. He rescued Feral cats and found homes for them and kept many of them himself. He also loved to work with his hands. He was a Master Maritime Associate Artist and instructor, and a Bob Ross certified artist.  He is survived by his wife, Donna Everage of Raeford; a daughter, Stephanie Everage of Drexel, NC; a son, John Everage of Raeford; his mother, Doris Everage of Hope Mills; a sister, Robin Myers and husband Joe, of Hope Mills. He will be missed by all who loved and knew him including Sadie his Yorkie. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests making donation to the family to help with final expenses. The family will have a reception following the memorial service.
