Ralph "Mac" Lawrence McSweeney, Jr., 53, of 310 S. McAlister Road, husband of Beverly Gregg McSweeney, passed away Thursday, December 4, 2008, at his home.

Born in Alexander, La., he was the son of Sheryl Ridenour Moore of Dacusville and the late Ralph Lawrence McSweeney, Sr.

Mr. McSweeney was a graduate of Douglas Byrd High School in Fayetteville, N.C., and attended the SC Vocational School in Columbia. He was a former employee of Fabri-Kal in Piedmont and attended St. Mary's Catholic Church in Greenville.

Surviving in addition to his mother and wife are two sons, Chris McSweeney and his wife Amber, and T.J. McSweeney and his wife Jennifer, all of Easley; four grandchildren, Gabrielle, Trey, Haven and Kadan; a brother, Jody McSweeney of Fountain Inn; stepmother, June McSweeney of Fountain Inn; and a sister-in-law, Karen Moss and her husband, Glenn, of Cherryville, N.C.

In addition to his father, he was predeceased by a sister, Catherine "Kitty" Moore.

Funeral services were held on Monday, December 8, 2008, at 1 p.m. in the chapel of Dillard Funeral Home, with burial following in Hillcrest Memorial Park and Gardens.

The family received friends Sunday evening from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
