Thurney L. Ridgen III, 58 of Altoona, passed away Monday January 16th, 2017 at the Lutheran Home at Hollidaysburg.

He was born March 2, 1958 in Fayetteville, NC, son of M. Louise (Ivey) Ridgen and the late Thurney L. Jr.

Surviving are his wife; his mother Louise of Fayetteville; his mother-in-law, Judy Pike of Altoona; a sister, Cheryl Ann Loes and husband Ron of Fayetteville, NC; and his pet dog, Yogi.

He was preceded in death by his father; and a brother, Michael Gutierrez.

Thurney was a graduate of Douglas Byrd High School, class of 1977.  He retired from Imler's poultry.

Thurney was an avid NASCAR fan.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at Sorge Funeral Home, Inc., Hollidaysburg at the convenience of the family.  Pastor Tim Guyer officiating.
