Mrs. Theresa ‘Terri’ Ann Putchaconis Hayes, 60, of Godwin died Friday December 27, 2019 at Sampson Regional Medical Center in Clinton. Mrs. Hayes was born December 15, 1959 in Cumberland County to the late John Patrick and Annie Lou Montgomery Putchaconis. She was preceded in death by her son, Rodney Cameron, and a brother, Danny Putchaconis.

Mrs. Hayes attended Douglas Byrd High School and was a breast cancer survivor. She was a homemaker who loved her family, especially her grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held Monday, December 30, 2019 at 11 a.m. at Baptist Chapel Church with Rev. Allen West officiating. Burial will follow in the family cemetery.
Mrs. Hayes is survived by her husband, David B. Hayes, daughter, Caren Holland (Craig) of Autryville; brothers, John Putchaconis of Hope Mills, Billy Putchaconis (Tammy) of Fayetteville, and Steven Putchaconis of New Smyrna, Florida; sisters, Mary Robinson (Gene) of Gray’s Creek, and Janis Finch (Antoine) of Georgia; grandchildren, Chase, Caroline, and Chesney Holland.

The family will receive friends Sunday, December 29, 2019 from 5 to 7 p.m. at Skinner & Smith Funeral Home in Dunn and other times at the home of Erfie and Vickie Hayes on Spring Branch Rd.
