
Rosemarie Brantley Cunningham, 66, of Fayetteville, passed away on Saturday, December 7, 2024.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Heidi K. and Lester Brantley; her sister, Heidi Toy; and her brother, Thomas Brantley. Rosemarie is survived by her devoted husband of 45 years, Leonard T. Cunningham, III; her son, Leonard T. Cunningham, IV, and his wife, Christina Buckley; her daughter, Melanie Cunningham; and her cherished grandchildren, William Cunningham and Nicholas Hansen. She also leaves behind her brothers, Robert, David, Michael, and John Brantley, along with numerous beloved nieces and nephews.
Rosemarie dedicated 26 years to teaching, touching countless lives through her passion and commitment. Beyond the classroom, she served as a cheerleader, Girl Scouts leader, and Sunday preschool teacher for her church. She took great pride in being a loving wife, mother, and grandmother, creating a legacy of love, strength, compassion, kindness, and a selfless commitment to those she loved.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, December 14, 2024, from 11:00 to 11:45 a.m. at Rogers and Breece Funeral Home. A memorial service will follow at 12:00 p.m. in the chapel, officiated by Dr. Taylor Brantley.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Rosemarie’s honor to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.
