James "Jim" Martin, Jr., Class of 1976, recently passed away from complications due to pneumonia on April 9, 2015, at the Bay Pines VA Hospital in St. Petersburg, Florida.  He was living in Sebring, Florida, at the time, having moved from Georgia.

After high school, Jim served as a Corpsman in the US Navy.

He is survived by his wife, Iris Martin, three sons (names undisclosed), as well as having family in Wilmington, North Carolina (names undisclosed).

A small memorial ceremony will take place Friday evening, at 7:00PM, May 1, 2015, at 700 Verona Ave., Avon Park, Florida 33825.  Jim will be interred in the National Cemetary, 9810 State Road 72 (Clark Road), Sarasota, Florida 34241, on Monday, May 4, 2015, at 1:30PM.
