John Troy VII, passed away unexpectedly Saturday, Sept. 3, 2022.

A native of Lincoln County, he was the son of John Troy VI and Debra Winkler Troy, Cookeville, Tennessee.

John was educated in the Lincoln County School System where he enjoyed sports and many friendships. 

He is predeceased by a son, P. Tyler Ferguson. Surviving him, in addition to his parents, are his loving fiancé, Rose Mary Kimbrough; son, Schuyler (Ryan Greiner) Troy of St Paul, Minnesota; daughter, M. Danielle Hicks of Fayetteville; three grandchildren, Akayla, Aliyah, and Nia; sisters, Natalie Wallace Smith, and Sarah Troy; brothers, Shane Troy and Walker Troy; two special nephews, Devin McClellan and Isaiah Henderson. He also leaves behind many other friends and family to cherish fond memories.
