Stephen Andrew Dale, 67, of University Place, Washington
Stephen Dale, passed away on Feb. 8, 2015 after an extended illness.
Stephen was born May 31, 1947 in Minneapolis. He was a 1965 graduate of Fergus Falls Senior High School, graduated from Concordia College in Moorhead, Minnesota, and received his law degree from Hamline University School for Law in 1987. Stephen practiced law in a variety of venues, loved reading and collected an extensive library, enjoyed photography, hiking in the mountains, and was a lifelong student of the writings of Martin Luther.
He was preceded in death by his father, the Rev. Otto Dale, former pastor of Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Fergus Falls, and his mother, Janette Rustad Dale. He is survived by six siblings: Gregory Dale of Spokane, Washington; Joan (Clint) Chandler, Arvada, Colorado; Evonne (Sam) Ryken, University Place, Washington; Bradley (Mary) Dale, Denver, Colorado; Catherine (Mark) Young, Merrifield, Minnesota; and Rolf Dale, Denver, Colorado; five nephews, four nieces, four grand nephews and five grand nieces.
A private graveside service will be held at a later date.
