William B. (Bill) Johnson died on March 8, 2022. Bill served in the U.S. Air force for more than 23 years, retiring as a Master Sergeant in 1989. He then worked for K-Mart and Walmart Distribution, Communicolor printing company in Eudora and then for International Paper/Weyerhaeuser/Williamette Industries in Topeka. He was a Scout leader for several years. In addition to his wife of 53 years Carol Jean he left a son William (Amy) Johnson of Lawrence, a daughter Sara of Emporia, four grandchildren, Billy, Abby, Jesse and Noah Johnson, and a great-granddaughter, Sammy. Carol Jean continues to reside near Waverly, Kansas.
