James Knudson James; Leroy Knudson, 53, a resident of Grand Rapids, Michigan, formerly of Fergus Falls, died Tuesday, November 14, 2000. He was born on April 14, 1947 in Fergus Falls, to Chester and Elsie (Hardenberg) Knudson. He was baptized and confirmed at the First United Church of Christ in Fergus Falls. He served in the Army Reserves and was stationed in Germany for 18 months of active duty. He married Fonda Field on August 30, 1975. Jim enjoyed spending time with his sons. They loved to hunt, fish and spend time outdoors. Preceding him in death were his father, Chester Knudson, and a nephew Troy Evavold. Survivors include two sons, Lance Knudson, of Fergus Falls and Christopher Knudson (fiance Samantha Wieser) of Rothsay; one grandson, Scott; his mother Elsie Knudson of Fergus Falls; three sisters Mrs. Gary (Barbara) Erlandson of Wendell, Mrs. Morris (Geraldine) Evavold of Ashby and Eileen Martinson of Marysville, Wash. Visitation: 4-7 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home with a prayer service at 7 p.m. and then one hour prior to the service at the church.
