David Madsen Obituary

David E. Madsen, 60, of Huntsville passed away suddenly Saturday in Columbus, Ohio. Mr. Madsen grew up in Fergus Falls, Minn. At the age of 18 he enlisted in the USAF and served during the Vietnam War and for 21 years in the U.S. and overseas. He retired in 1986, having attained the rank of master sergeant. Since that time he had worked as an engineering contractor to the U.S. government. Mr. Madsen was preceded in death by his parents, John Ewald Madsen and Louise Anna Bradehoft Madsen; sisters, Luella Sanders and Shirley Johnson; and brothers, John, Robert, and Gary. He is survived by his wife Nina; sons, Kirk and Dane; and their mother, LaVon; sister, Pauline Haukos; and brother, Don. A Memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Mark's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Huntsville. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society in memory of David Edward Madsen.
