JOYCE ELIZABETH ULICNY 

October 25, 1952 – September 10, 2013 

Joyce had a great sense of humor… 
She had a heart of gold. 

Joyce Elizabeth Foley was born on October 25, 1952 in Detroit, Michigan. Her parents were Leo Bernard and Anne Orena (nee Heartwell) Foley. She died on Tuesday, September 10, 2013 at William Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak, Michigan. Joyce was 60 years of age. 

Joyce was a resident of Rochester Hills, MI for 10 years and a former resident of Royal Oak, MI. She graduated in 1970 from St. James High School, in Ferndale, MI., where she was an accomplished athlete. She graduated from Walsh College with her degree in Accounting. She was a longtime accountant for James Carnegie C.P.A. She was formerly an active volunteer for the South Oakland County Shelter and for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. She enjoyed reading, softball, tennis, and basketball. She was an avid Detroit sports fan and loved to entertain…. "the ultimate hostess"

Joyce was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother.

Joyce was the beloved wife of Thomas A. Ulicny and they were married for 40 years. Loving mother of Colleen Armstrong (Jason), Sarah Ulicny and Kate Pinkham (Steven). Proud grandmother of Jackson Armstrong. Dear sister of Margaret Keenan (the late Patrick), Doris Foley and the late John Foley (Leslie). Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

The Ulicny Family will receive friends Friday, November 13, 2013 from 3-8p.m. with prayers at 7p.m. at A.J. Desmond & Sons Funeral Home (Vasu, Rodgers & Connell Chapel), 32515 Woodward Avenue, Royal Oak, MI. The Funeral Mass will be Saturday, September 14, 2013 at 10a.m. at St. John Fisher Chapel, 3665 Walton Blvd. (east of Squirrel Rd.), Auburn Hills, MI. Visitation at church begins at 9:30a.m.

The Ulicny Family is suggesting memorial tributes to the American Diabetes Association or the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
