Dean Mostrom

Born September 8th 1971 Sadly Dean Surrendered this weekend to a long courageous battle with brain cancer at the age of 37. Throughout his life Dean was a curious soul who enjoyed the challenges of new things. From the motorcycle he took apart at the age of ten to his first car in high school he had a talent for tinkering. He was a life long Whatcom Co. resident who loved the outdoors. He avidly fished hunted hiked and played here. He was a practical joker that few could ever forget. His greatest joy in life was becoming a father. Dean is survived by his wife Misty Mostrom and his two beautiful daughters Cora J. Howell and Bailey J. Mostrom of Bellingham. His mother and father Janice & Dean T. Mostrom Sr. of Ferndale. Siblings, sister Annette and Kurt Kraft and brother Dale Mostrom of Ferndale. Mother- and father-in-law Mike and Cathy Renfro of Bellingham sister-in-law Rachael & Cory Mumm of Bellingham and numerous nieces, nephews, uncles, aunts, cousin and friends! "He wishes that someday, you will get the chance to live like you were dying. Like tomorrow was a gift and you've got eternity to think about what you would do with it." A potluck celebration of his life will be held Sat. 5 p.m. at the Moose Lodge Family Center located 1761 West Bakerview. A trust fund has been est. for his daughters Cora Howell and Bailey Mostrom.  Dean was a good guy, I recall going through the years with him...  Dean will be missed..

I remember riding bus #5 with him in grade school. I enjoyed his company.
