Ste. Gen county. Couldn't tell you how to get to it, but could get you there. It's an awesome place that's been in their family forever. Two story little place, and the upstairs has 4 or 5 big old time sleigh beds with old quilts on them. There's a big shark that hangs from the ceiling over the stairs. Nothing fancy...just a good place to go kick back, play cards and shoot the shit. Everyone who enters has to take a shot of the Turkey. Liked to killed me, but I did it...all in one shot. It's just a cool place to go get away for a weekend, especially in the fall when the leaves are changing/falling.

Billy Evans Yes I have been to that bar. Sounds like an awesome cabin!! Like the shot rule, a hate all types of whiskey and had to do two shots of them Sat. yuck!! Nite Tracy. Google Big Rock Candy Mountain and click onto site to check out the bar there.

Carla Williams I try to avoid Walmart if I can but if I go it's usually in DeSoto. I talked to Lonnie's wife last night(she's my cousin) and they might want to do something Sat. night but not sure.

Lonnie & Renetta Smith isn't that the truth! we see each other at funerals or if i need a cake or donuts! hey everybody, carla owns the "patty cake" bakery in the big town of desoto and let me tell ya, she makes an AWESOME cake and great donuts and has a good price too! there carla, now give me the 20 bucks!!!!!!

If anyone is interested we are having a wine tasting on Saturday November 22nd at the KC Hall in DeSoto to benefit my daughters school. Crown Valley, Bardenheier's, Chaumette and Peaceful Blend Vineyards will be there.

15.00 per person - can purchase tickets ahead of time(just let me know) or you can pay at the door.

Free glass with admittance for sampling wines, cheeses, bread, a few finger foods, fruit. Wines will also be available for sale.

Doors open at 7pm.

Billy Evans Carla, if I can ill try to attend! Talk to some friends of mine too. I was sitting at Chaumette on the 1st enjoying the view, wine and good company when I got the call my mom had passed. Knew when I left that would be the case and where I wanted to be when I got the news.
