Carson, I don't know where to play so why don't you get us some consecutive tee times. There are 11 in for golf so far so I would suggest 5 tee times at least. LOM

Just a quick heads up on the Friday night event. I have arranged for the High School to be open for a tour/self-guided walk through for those who are interested. We will meet at 5:30 on the steps in front of the gym.

I'm taking a few days off this week, so I may head down to Festus to make additional arrangements. I figured after the tour we head to the football game. I'm going to contact the AD to see if they will reserve a section for the class of '89 and their families. If they are willing, how many rows do you think we will need?

After the game, I would suggest heading to a local watering hole...Squeakers or Biehle's? Any favorite requests...I'll see if we can get some specials. I will also check on consecutive tee times...probably at Joachim (no spell check here) around 10ish if possible. That's the plan...I'll keep you all posted. Any other/better ideas, I'm all for it! Looking forward to seeing you all. Spread the word and get our classmates back for the events.

The tee times are for Saturday, of course. I'm certain I'll be in no condition to play night golf!

Carson Would it be best to have a 3 or 4 man scrammble and if we have an team short they can hit for a missing man or whatever the case

Carson,
Sounds good on the golf. Griff, I don't need new irons to put you to shame on the golf course. I'll bring the cash. LOM

A little Friday night update. Tour of the HS @ 5:30 p.m. followed by the game. We will have two rows (three if we need them)reserved for the class of '89. We will conclude the night at a local tavern.

Golf game at Joachim on Saturday morning. I have 5 consecutive tee times reserved. I would suggest a 4-person scramble. We meet at 10 am and draw for teams. I will supply prizes (beer, wine, booze, trinkets/tee-shirts, etc. Ladies are welcome to join us, as well as spouses of classmates. Please give me a quick headcount of who wishes to play so I can reserve additional tee times if necessary. It should be fun.

More to come later, but that is the info I have at this time. Looking forward to seeing you all!

what prices we looking at for the golf game.

Another quick question concerning golf...9 or 18 holes. If we play a SLOW 18 we should be done no later than 3p.m. Plenty of time to get back home/hotel and clean up and get ready for the Saturday evening event. I have no preference, whatever the group wants to do. As soon as I get some more feedback we'll make final decisions and finalize details.

I'll check on pricing, but winter rates are nominal. I'll make sure anyone who wants to play will be taken care of if cost is an issue.

Carson,
18 would work for me but if we are playing slow we can always stop at 9. If we play a scramble on that course it shouldn't take long. If memory serves it's not that tough of a course. I can help out as well if cost is an issue on the golf. I have plenty of balls, tees and an extra set of clubs if anyone needs. Just let me know if someone needs a set because I don't want to bring them unless I have to. LOM

Pete, No problem. I have a 5 gallon bucket full of them. I hope you don't need all of them.

All, Get the word out. I see where some were planning to come but haven't signed up. The deadline is approaching. Where the hell is Beef and Neil?

10/04/09 06:48 AM #270

Carson Duchatschek

Chuck, when is the deadline to register? I think Lom is right...if you have some classmates that you keep in contact with, or know how to get in touch with them, let's start calling our friends and encouraging them to register and attend. You only have one 20-year class reunion.

I know a few that are planning on attending and are probably just waiting until the last minute, but when is the LAST minute?

All,
Eric DeRousse's parents have both been having some health problems. There will be a benefit for them at the Eagles club in Crystal City. Date and time has not yet been determined. I will keep everyone posted, but would like to see a good turn out from our class. Eric's parents are great people and would love support from our class.

Pete, get me the details and I will do everything I can to be there. We have some great stories/memories involving that family!

10/08/09 08:08 AM #273

Mark Lalumondier

When is the benefit? I will be flying into town from California on the 22nd. Let me know.

10/08/09 08:11 AM #274

Mark Lalumondier

The response shows that 25 are attending the reunion so far. Count Trish in as 26. I signed us up and I guess it included Trish as a spouse and not a classmate. Where's Beffa and McKee's asses?

10/08/09 08:19 AM #275

Mark Lalumondier

Pete, Get your ass on here and sign you and Tracy up.

Just a suggestion. If there are classmates not signing up due to the cost, I vote we take up donations for those classmates. Times are tight these days and we certainly don't want people missing out due to financial issues. We can keep those who wish to attend but can't due to job loss or whatever discrete and just take up a collection at the end. We just want to have everyone there who wishes to attend. Suggest you send Charles or Jodi a personal email and tell them you want to attend but need help with the cost. Charles/Jodi, you can keep it private. Or send me one. mlalumondier@ironplanet.com
JUST GET PEOPLE THERE!!! WE WANT TO SEE EVERYONE!!!

10/08/09 09:08 PM #276

Carson Duchatschek

I second Lom's proposal. I'm in, and would be more than happy to contribute. I've worked the FB angle trying to drum up participation...start making calls to your classmates. Let's have a strong turnout!

Hey Charles, I noticed when I registered that the deadline said October 5. This may cause some to think it's too late to register. Are people still able to? If so you may want to Change it. Looking forward to a fun night, I can't wait to see everyone and catch up!
