Sam Otero, 25, died Saturday, June 12, 1999. A Flagstaff resident, Mr. Otero was transportation coordinator for Guardian Air. He was born in Flagstaff July 9, 1973, and was a softball official for the city of Flagstaff and a high school football official. He is survived by: his wife, Sandra Otero of Flagstaff; daughter Claire Otero of Flagstaff; parents Ben and Joyce Otero of Flagstaff; brother Jeff Otero of Phoenix; and grandmother Betty Williams of Williams. A funeral service for Mr. Otero will be held at 4 p.m. Wednesday at Bethel Baptist Church on Lake Mary Road. Friends and family will be gathering at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Chuck Hebestreit, 5755 Townsend Winona Road, following the service. The family suggests that contributions be made to the American Red Cross. Funeral arrangements are being handled by Greer's Mountain View Mortuary. — Arizona Daily Sun
