Scott E. Horvath

Horvath, Scott of Lake George, formerly of Flushing, age 68, died Tuesday, November 6, 2018, at his home. Funeral services will be 12 noon Saturday, November 10, 2018, at Rossell Funeral Home. Visitation will be 3-8 p.m. Friday and 10 a.m. Saturday until the time of the service. If desired, memorial contributions may be made to the Wounded Warriors Project or the American Heart Association.

Scott was born in Flint, Michigan on February 3, 1950, the son of Edward and Mary Lue (Mitchell) Horvath. He married his high school sweetheart, Lynette Fortier on August 26, 1972. Scott proudly served in the U.S. Army. He worked for Allstate Insurance Company, retiring after 30 years. Scott loved airplanes, boating, and playing cards. Together with his wife, they enjoyed spending winters in Ft. Myers, Florida. Scott’s greatest joy was spending time with his family, especially being Papa to his grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Lynette; children, Ryan and wife Maureen Horvath, Mandy and husband Joe Johnson, Nick and wife Kristin Horvath, Katie and husband John Hamilton; grandchildren, Kara, Josh, Lily, Brody, Graham, Noah, Harper, Daisy, Emma, Miles; siblings, Terri Scoble, Kathy Kelly, Rich and wife Deanne Horvath, Brad and wife Brenda Horvath; mother-in-law, Marilyn Fortier; sister-in-law, Pam Plouffe; brother-in-law, Tim and wife Julie Fortier; many nieces and nephews; and beloved dog, Boo Boo. Scott was preceded in death by his parents; father-in-law, Harley Fortier; and niece, Emily.
