Mary Jo passed away by my side, peacefully at our home, around 1:30 AM, August 11th, 2014. It would be trite and inaccurate to say Mary Jo lost her battle with cancer. Mary Jo beat cancer in so many ways. She never let it change her. She never lost her beautiful smile. She never became the “why me” victim. She continued to be the same happy and positive person she was her entire life. She made the most of every minute, going from a great day at Myrtle Beach with family to a peaceful passing in less than a week.

Mary Jo’s love for friends and family was absolute. She wants us to be happy and celebrate her life. Seeing us cry would make her cry. Be grateful for the time you had with her.

Mary Jo is at peace and sends her love to all!
