Very very fond memories of Jody in Junior High....I ran into her when she managed one of the toy stores at the mall in des moines. Was very jolly.....

I remember when we all used to go roller skating. We went with Jody several times. It was always a blast being around her. She always had a smile and something funny to say.

When I was looking through the 20 year class reunion book I reflected on what Jody had shared with her fellow classmates prior to her passing:

Occupation:  Owner/manager of Candles with Class, Gifts & Crafts

Spouse:  Mike McClintock - Trooper/Iowa State Patrol & Technician/Iowa National Guard

Children:  Ashley 11 & Samantha 7

I was a stay at home mother/wife after marriage to Mike in 1987.  While at home I enjoyed craftwork and candle making.  In 1999 I purchased my own craft store.  I currently own and operate my business at 2307 5th Ave. So. in Fort Dodge.  I have between 18-20 employees on a regular basis.  My hobbies also include camping, swimming and spending time with my family.  I belong to Prince of Peace church and participate in many school activities with my children.

While I didn't know Jody very well in high school, I did have the opportunity to get to know her prior to her passing.  Looks like she had her priorities in order and was very successful in something that started as a hobby and turned into a thriving business!  I think of the saying, "find a job you love and you'll never work a day in your life".  Jody lived life well and had her priorities in order.  A great example for me.  Thank you Jody!
