Brenda and I played together as young children. I didn't see her for a few years after highschool but ran into her working at her moms bar. I took a part time job there so we worked together. Brenda was such a caring and fun person. I am still close with her family. Just a couple of months ago I told Brenda's mom how Brenda and I used to go over to the mink farm by her house. Her mother was horrified! We had been forbidden to go anywhere near there, we were quite young at the time. Forty years after the fact I received a lecture from her mom. Of course, I said it was all Brenda's idea. Her mom got a good laugh out of that. She said that she knew that both of us were little stinkers. I miss Brenda but knowing Brenda and what she was going through, I understand.
My memories of Brenda are from South Junior High. We had quite a few classes together. She was such fun to talk to and her smile was contagious. I lost track of her in high school, since we didn't have any classes together. I had know idea she was no longer with us until I read it on here. It is so sad that she is no longer with us.
