Michael Joseph Brown, 57 of Tempe, Arizona passed away very peaceful at Hospice of the Valley, in Scottsdale, AZ, on July 5, 2010.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 17th, at 10:00 a.m. in the Chapel of the Laufersweiler-Sievers Funeral Home and 10:30 a.m. at Corpus Christi Church with Msgr. Kevin McCoy officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial. Visitation will be after 4:30 p.m. on Friday, where there will be a vigil at 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Michael is survived by his two daughters Danielle Marie Francis of Cedar Rapids and Michelle Victoria Saddoris of West Des Moines; he is also survived by his father Daniel Leo Brown of Fort Dodge, IA and five siblings Rodney (Terri) Brown and Francie (John) Victor of Urbandale, IA, David (Kelly) Brown of Fort Dodge, IA, Tim (Cindy) Brown of Georgetown, KY, Joe (Jamie) Brown of Fountain Hills, AZ. Michael is also survived by several grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and friends. Michael was preceded in death by his mother Bea Brown.
Michael Joseph Brown was born on October 15, 1952, in Fort Dodge. He attended schools here and graduated from St. Edmond High School. He enjoyed watching many types of sports. His favorite sporting event was NASCAR and Jimmy Johnson was the one he kept his eye on. Michael didn't always find a way to say it or show it, he asked that this be shared. He wanted to say "Thanks for all the cards, notes and pictures through the years." "Nothing now is left but Majestic Memory" Longfellow.
