From the Fort Dodge Messenger:

Hoban rites set Friday

Services for Charles T. Hoban, 20, 831 N. 9th St., will be 8:30 a.m. Griday in the chapel of Laufersweiler Funeral Home and 9 a.m. in Corpus Christi Church.  The Rev. Msgr. Louis J. Lynch. pastor, will officiate with burial in Corpus Christi Cemetery.

Rosary will be recited at 8 o'clock Wednesday and Thursday evenings in the funeral home where friends may call at 7:00 p.m. Wednesday.

Hoban was killed after the motorcycle he was operating went out of control as he was southbound on "A" Street near U.S. 169 sometime early Tuesday morning.  Fort Fodge Paatrolman Charles Griggs, who investigated the accident, said there were 168 feet of skid marks at the scene.  Hoban's body was found about 10 feet from the wrecked cycle by a passing motorist around 8 a.m. Tuesday.  The exact time of the accident is not known, Griggs said.  Hoban left Bethesda General Hospital where he worked as a maintenance man about midnight.  Griggs said he may have been en route to visit a friend when the accident occured.  The extent of injuries and cause of death will not be known until a county medical examiner's report is complete, the patrolman said.

Survivors include his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Thomas E. Hoban, 831 N. 9th St; two sisters, a brother, and a grandmother.
