Frances Weideman, 68, died peacefully at home, surrounded by her family on January 10, 2021. Private family service will be held. Gunderson Funeral Home & Cremation Services are entrusted with the arrangements.
Frances Marie Weideman, daughter of Thomas and Phyllis (Wingerson) Hannon, was born June 5, 1952, in Fort Dodge. She attended Holy Rosary School and graduated from Fort Dodge Senior High. On July 20, 1973, she married Leland Weideman. Frances worked various jobs throughout her life; nurses aid, cook, hostess, grain sampler and she was always the best homemaker. She loved time spent with her family, cherished her grandchildren and spoiled her pets.
Survivors include her husband of 47 years, Leland Weideman of Renwick, her children Mike (Rachelle) Weideman of Duncombe, Shelley (Steve) Paulson of Ankeny, April Kelly of Dakota City, and Jody Paulson of Boulder, CO; grandchildren Cody, Aliyah, Logan, Mariah, Hailey, Jessica, Scott, Cayla and Kyle; 8 great-grandchildren with one on the way. She was preceded in death by her daughter Dawn and her parents.
