Terry Edward Rykhus died March 6, 2002, when he was involved in an industrial accident at the Georgia-Pacific paper mill in Camas, Washington. He was 39.
Terry was born June 27, 1962, in Fort Dodge, Iowa. He grew up in Fort Dodge and went to college to study carpentry. He then moved to Washougal, WA, and worked at the Pendleton Wollen Mills while attending Clark College's automotive department. He then got a job with the paper mill and worked there for 13 years. He enjoyed skiing, boating, and camping.
Terry is survived by his mother, Marilyn, and stepfather Bruce Scott of Washougal; father, Edward Rykhus of Fort Dodge; one brother, Steven Rykhus of Stockton, California; one sister, Cindy Fagan of Kevin, Montana; two stepsisters, Tamra Scott and Dayna Scott, both of Washougal; and very special companion Laura Ledgerwood and her two children, Alex and Justin, all of Vancouver.
