George A. Siebels, 25, died of smoke inhalation in a fire at his apartment.

George was born in Fort Dodge and attended Corpus Christi Grade School, Sacred Heart Junior High School, and graduated from St. Edmond High School in 1981. He then entered the United States Army serving in Italy, Germany, and Korea. Following his discharge, he returned to Fort Dodge in 1986 and was employed by Iowa Central Industries.

Survivors include his parents, Herman and Mary Lou Siebels, Fort Dodgee; brothers, Dave, Fort Dodge, Larry, Hastings, Minnesota; sisters, Sandy Weiss, Barnum, Marilyn Salter, Ankeny.
