Lori Jean Zakeer Myers, 42, of Fort Dodge passed away at Trinity Regional Medicacl Center after a courageous battle with cancer. 

Lori was born on February 11, 1963 in Fort Dodge. She was a graduate of St. Edmond High School Class of 1981. Lori then attended Iowa Central Community College and Western Iowa Tech in Sioux City. She was an avid sports enthusiest, coaching second grade basketball girls teams. Lori cheered for the Iowa State Cyclones and the Pittsburgh Steelers. She enjoyed music of every kind, especially country western.

Survivors include her parents, Robert and Marie Zakeer; brother, Robert Thomas Zakeer, all of Fort Dodge; nephew Jace Zakeer and niece Miranda Zakeer, and special friend Ed Hamilton. She was preceded in death by her grandparents Carl and Smi Zakeer.

She will be greatly missed by her family, many cousins, and friends. The family requests in lieu of flowers that memorials may be left to the Fort Dodge Catholic Schools System.
