I want to thank all my great classmates who cared and sent me thoughtful notes on the forum, cards and calls. I appreciate everyone of you. Our whole family was home. Oldest daughter lives here, thank God for her being so close, son & family home from Austin, TX & youngest daughter from Nashville, TN. It was all so comforting and calming for me. Hope everyone had a good Thanksgiving...we all did here. May God bless you all w/family & friends in your time of need as He did me. Makes life worth living. All the prayers from coast to coast helped me survive, thanks to all.

Thank youall again.....Linda Lu (not my real middle name)

Can't believe it's December already. Busy trying to catch up on things I've put on hold. You have to put things in prospective and prioritize. Am trying to squeeze some fun things in w/all the things that have to be taken care of. Am looking fwd to snow. Need to get new glasses, and a different vehicle (any suggestions??). Looking for good MPG, great warranty, and want leather interior, color doesn't seem very important.

Am wishing everyone good health & happiness. May you be surrounded by family & friends for the holidays.

MERRY CHRISTMAS.....Linda Kirchner Schrader

Linda:

You are such an inspiration to all of us.  Your "life goes on" attitude is a true blessing.  God has blessed you greatly after all you went through.  As I have seen in others, it has made you even stronger.  Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you and your family.  Thought about all of you Thanksgiving because the "firsts" are always hard.

I want to wish everyone Merry Christmas and Happy New Year also.

Terry

Would like the thank every for all the cards & notes lately. It is so inspiring to hear from friends & classmates. My saying is: SHIT HAPPENS...bub it's all part of life's cycle and process, & GOD is always there to clean it all up and take care of everything. My best advice to everyone is to get things in order, wills, finances, & everything. Larry was soooo organized, everything written down, inventory of everything, personal & his business, even a list of where to find everything, such as titles, deeds, and the worth of everything. I am so blessed....unbelievable how it makes it all go smoother & easier. But it all takes time as you go through the process. SOOO, I need to tell everyone to:  take care of your health, your family, your things, yes they need care also, enjoy & love your life. Be thankful for little things as well and the big things in life. God is good to us all...take pleasure & give Him  the praise.

May you all have a very blessed Christmas and a healthy New Year. Hope to see many of you next year.

Linda Lu

Take care!

Hope everyone is keeping warm these days. Several days ago it was a high of -7 here, not to mention the wind chill factor. Thinking about several classmates, who are very dear to me, living further north...Patsy in St. Paul, MN and Melinda in Ann Arbor, MI. They get more snow, and it's colder, plus it starts sooner and lasts longer. I love snow, but the subnormal temps worry me a little more than they used to. I don't mind being snowed in, just don't want the electricity to go off. Hope the classmates who go south for the winter are enjoying themselves...Carole in southern TX and Sharon in southern FL. When it's very cold here, it's also cold down there. Our lives change over the years. Sometimes suddenly & shocking. Sometimes slowly over a long period of time, which we don't seem to notice or are aware of, then realize later as we look back.

We are all on the "down hill roll" of our lives. Although, I have lots of things I'd still like to do and places I'd like to see, not to mention things I'd like to do, places I'd like to see AGAIN. Am hoping everyone has many great memories to recall and reminisce about. I plan to make a lot more memories.....

Take care everyone...may you all be blessed with good health and a wonderful sense of humor.

Linda

Sharon just called me from FL, She said the wind is blowing, there's no one on the beach, they turn up the thermostat and put on more clothes....and are coming back home this week. If it's going to be cold, might as well be home!!! Am looking forward to seeing her and all the other ladies at the January luncheon. Also, talked to Patsy this wk., so much snow...and wishes she could come down for the luncheon, too. Thanks for the calls girls.....Linda

Linda,

Thank you for the wonderful message and report from Sharon.  I hope everyone has been safe in this dangerous weather also.  Believe me, I have stayed inside.  I want to wish everyone a healthy and blessed Happy New Year.  I have always wished I could attend the luncheons.  They sound so fun.  Always enjoy your messages.

I almost feel guilty having escaped the cold of northern WI for a couple of months. When we arrived in AZ the end of Dec, it was an actual 25 below at our WI home. We had over 2 feet of snow when we left.  60's and 70's everyday here in Tucson. Have a great 2014!

I just sent a birthday greeting to Bill Kreiger and was thinking about some HS memories about him. Since in assemblies, we all sat alphabetically, I sat between Bill & Ronnie Kincade. Believe me...that was entertaining, to say the least.  As I thought back, I have so many memories that made a huge impact on my life. Every day of HS, each year, the close friends, all the events, it's hard to imagine & think back to how it all effected each of us. For instance, when I was in grade school at Jackson, being that young, I never thought about being rich or poor. There was always someone who had more or better things than I did, as well as those who had so much less than me. That's just the way it was. But when it came time to go to JH, that was a whole new experience, just speaking for myself. Guess my world was smaller that I was aware of. Soon you learn to adjust, at least, I tried. It was difficult for me...am sure we each had our own situation. Next to say, going to HS was magnified w/adding twice as many new faces & experiences. We knew the 3 classes ahead of us and those behind us. ALL THIS TO SAY...when I think back over those years in my life, each and every one of you had an impression on me, whether it was positive or negative. It ALL made me the person I am today. I, in now way mean to brag about anything, but looking back how things affected me, I can NOT change anything about the past. Have learned we all HAVE to let of some things, and look forward. When I reminisce about HS, I smile at all the good times. I can remember what certain people wore, who they dated, who I had what class/w, the buildings, the teachers I had...so much. I don't watch TV during the day, but If I'm home, I turn to the SiriusXM music, to the 50's on 5, and enjoy every song. SOOO for all my memories and experiences, I would like to thank each & every one of you!!! With God's grace I am looking forward to MORE.

Linda... What a beautiful message. I think you speak for most of us. Just between you and me... you should have been a writer.

RIGHTTTTT Karan...remember 8th. grade, you're the writer!!! Should have saved those stories you wrote. I saved everything else. Just might run across them someday. Then we'll both be famous, you'll write and I'll publish...AGAIN, RIGHTTTT!!!
