Linda.

Late but wanted to congratualate you on your twin great granddaughters---are they home yet?

As you can see I do not know how to use the message forum--look at Bill's message and probably this one.

Linda -

Congrats on the twin grand baby girls!!  Twice the fun & diapers!!  Hope you get to spend quite a bit of time with them.

Bill

God Bless You!!   You are a trouper and will get through this.  Have fun with your Lionel Trains.  My brothers used to have them, years ago.  Mother gave them away to friends, have not seen them since.

Wear lots of sun screen, hats, long sleeves & long pants.  Unfortunately most of the sun damage that we all have, happened years ago.  Of course, you really got the bad end of it.  Hang in there.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TERRY NOONAN.....for sme reason I couldn't write a birthday wish on his profile page. Sharon Nabusi, maybe you can figure it out.

Wishing you a great day Terry. It's supposed to be a nice day for golf here, in west central IL, but you're 4 hours east of the Mississippi, so not sure about your weather.. Hoping you & Margaret can make the mini reunion next year in Branson, MO. Missed seeing you last year in FM. Enjoy your special day.

Bill...hope you are healing & progressing back to good health.

Had a visitor Sat. Cyndy was back in the area, actually in Hamilton, for a funeral & stopped to see me. My son & family were here for a visit, so she got to meet them. Had a wonderful time. Cyndy & I reminisce whenever we get together, so Lamar & Dana really enjoyed us talking about "what we used to do". Was good to see her, even if it was only for about an hour or so.

Am wondering who all is interested in going to Branson next May for a mini reunion? Sharon said she has responses from only 19 classmates. I'd like to know who all is interested besides me. Wondering how many read the forum & will answer.

I am doing fine. Fat and sassy. Gained 15 lbs. Will have to work it off.

Head wounds have healed with significant scarring. Nose hasn't healed but I am hopefull. I look like a prize fighter who has one too many fights. Still have a black eye.

I encourage all to see a dermatologist at least once a year. Could prevent a similar situation.

Train board is under construction. Highschool math was easy compaired to this. I'm trying to get 8 trains running at the same time. I've had as many as 18 but it's to many for one person to control. If I can figure out how to do it will send pictures.

Your Classmate and Friend,

Bill

Hello, Everyone

Bill, glad you are in the healing process.  what does the other guy look like???  wink

You have a major project going on with the trains!  You are going to have to come up with an app for that

I really don't care to go to Branson, Sharon.  I'm just not big on traveling anymore.  I think whomever would like to go, just go ahead and have a good time.  I want to stay close to home.  I hope all that go enjoy themselves.

Sharon, I am one of the 19 who responded.  I will attend only because I don't want to miss the opportunity to re-connect with my past.  BUT, I would prefer the connection be in Ft Madison because that is coming HOME to me.  I travel over 150 days a year so that part doesn't bother me.  It is a little more difficult to fly into the Branson area reasonably.  I love traveling!

Hello everyone!

I'm going to try this again.  On Saturday 7/8 I posted a message, but did not post it on the Message Forum.  Anyway, on Friday 7/7, Bill Orr his wife Jean and 2 of her sisters and their husbands came to Keokuk for a visit.  They were in the area for a family wedding.  We all met at Angalini's and had a fantastic dinner.  If you are ever in the area I recomend a stop at Angalinis as it is rated the 7th best restaurant in Iowa.  After dinner one of Jean's sisters and her husband had to visit other relatives but the rest of us came to our house for dessert.  We had a great time talking about old times and catching up.

We all know about the horror Bill has gone through with skin cancer.  However, I was delighted to see that after all the proceedures he went through, he looked great.  He showed me the before pictures and the damage was pretty bad.  After undergoing all this he looks like there was never a problem.  He sat facing me at dinner and I couldn't even see a scar.  So, it is wonderful to relate some really good news.  However, we all need to be careful when exposed to sun, and see a skin doctor once a year.  Janet and I do.

Best regards everyone,

Charlie and Janet

Good job Charlie...Would love to have seen Bill since he missed the last reunion. Maybe next time he & Jean are in the area...let us locals know & we can make it a mini reunion. Nice of him to get in touch with you & I'm sure you both had a great time reminscing & catching up with each other. Take care...

Thanks, Sharon, for notifying that there will not be a mini mid-year reunion next May in Branson.  That puts my mind at ease since I was concerned about it being in May.  That month is a busy seminar month and recovery from a busy tax season.

I am thinking about making a visit back "home" sometime in the next year and would love to meet and have lunch with whomever is available.  I'll post my plans when I decide.

Have a fun and safe remaining summertime.  I am busy doing seminars, finishing tax return extensions and closing out a long-term trust I have been involved with for the past 10 years.  Lots of work but so enjoyable helping others.

Sometimes I have to pinch myself when I wake up and realize I am 74 years old and still going strong at the same pace I have been at for the past 20 years.  I am truly BLESSED!

Thanks Marcia! Good to hear from you and I will look forward to welcoming you home next year! I'm sure we could get some classmates together whenever you make a trip to F M next year!  I wish all the classmates the best!

We have lived in this area for 41 years and yet I too still go back "home", glad to see Marcia taking a trip back home too.  I know Sharon will gather the clan for you Marcia

Bill Orr

I wish to thank all of my classmates for their well wishes and happy birthday thoughts.

As for my wounds, I am all healed up with minimal scaring. It's nice to go into the stores and not have people stare at me.

Jean and I spent time at our cabin on Lake Poinsett SD and have been pleasantly surprised at the construction activity. It's like Spirit Lake 50 years ago.

I am now concentrating on my hobby, Model Railroading. I have approximately 20 by 20 foot layout and a number of O Gage trains. My goal is to run 4 trains on a 3 level layout. Back in the day I could run 18 trains at the same time but had a big train wreck.

On that thought,

Again, Thanks for the well wishes

Bill
