HAPPY THANKSGIVING TO ALL OF YOU KIDS IN THE CLASS OF 1961!  I just read all the latest entries and I had to laugh at Bill's and Jerry's comments. I really appreciate all of you writing on our sight! Moudy and I are spending Thanksgiving at Sea Isle City, New Jersey with all of Moudys kids and our grandkids. The weather is brisk but sun is shining. We all went to see Mr Roger's Nejghborhood at the movie theater in Stone Harbour and I really recommend it highly! I hope all of you have a wonderful holiday season! GO BLOODHOUNDS!

Celebrated Thanksgiving in CO.  Planned to start driving back to WI tomorrow, Sunday.  However, due to high winds and blowing snow, delaying my departure to Monday.  Hope all FMHS 1961 graduates had a safe holiday with family and friends.  Remember, 60 year reunion in 2021. Mark your calendar NOW! BTW you need to make hotel reservations a whole year in advance because all the hotels get sold out very very early! We have a Quality Inn and a Boulders Inn! Safe travels Brad and everyone else that is traveling! Moudy and I are returning to FM tomorrow from Sea Isle, Nee Jersey! Keep fingers crossed that we don't hit snow! Happy Holidays to everyone!

Dear Classmates:  Here is an update on Linda Schrader via her daughter, Lori Schrader via Patsy VanPelt. Linda's stroke affected her left arm and she is in great spirits. The stroke was caused by a blocked right carotid artery but her only weakness has been her left arm, everything else is okay and she can still move her left arm. This is not an emergency situation but they are doing surgery tomorrow morning(MONDAY) at 8 a.m. and she will probably not be back in her room until at least early afternoon. Hopefully we will get another update and I will pass it along on the forum to all of you. Just remember no news is good news. Let's all pray for Linda tonight and tomorrow and in the days to come. I hope for a good outcome so she can come home and have a Merry Christmas. Merry Christmas to all of you!

I have a minor correction to Sharon's post. Lori text said "Her only weakness has been her left arm, everything else is okay. She can still move her left arm (when she yawns or it is more of a reflective actioon) vs trying to move it!  We'll continue to pray and know how powerful prayer is!  

Sandy, Lori lives in Nashville and Lisa teaches in Nauvoo. Lamar, their son, lives in Austin, Texas.  Just and update on her kids! She has a loving and very faithfilled family!

Dear Classmates,

Just wanted to give you the latest update regarding our friend and classmate, Linda Schrader.  Per Lori," They intubated  Mom around 1 a.m. this morning to help her breath (possibly due to pneumonia, which is common for stroke patients).  Drs. did a CT scan this morning that showed a  minor stroke on the L. side - her body is just exhausted and she needs time to recover."  That is the latest update and I know we'll continue praying for Linda and family.

Thanks ever so much for the update on Linda.  She has and will continue to be in my prayers for a full recovery.  Lots of rest is needed to get her strength back.  Please continue to keep us posted if possible.

Dear Classmates,

I talked with Lori, Linda's daughter, last night and Linda is still intubated but doing okay. She asked that we not send cards at this time until she can enjoy them!  She is still intubated and thought her mother would enjoy reading them when she's better and can read them herself.  The drain was removed from her neck yesterday also.  That's the latest I know so will keep you updated when I know more!  We continue to keep her in our prayers!  Take care everyone!

DEAR CLASSMATES: IT IS WITH A VERY HEAVY HEART THAT I TELL YOU ALL TO PRAY AS HARD AS YOU CAN FOR LINDA SCHRADER! LORI, LINDAS DAUGHTER JUST EMAILED THAT SHE HAD ANOTHER STROKE AFTER HER SURGERY TO OPEN HER CAROTID ARTERY AND THAT THE SURGEONS SAY SHE HAS IRREPUTABE DAMAGE TO HER BRAIN! SHE SAID LINDAS DIRECTIVES TO HER KIDS IS THAT SHE DOESNT WANT ANY ARTIFICIAL MACHINES KEEPING HER ALIVE! SO HER KIDS WANTING TO ABIDE BY HER WISHES ARE GOING TO REMOVE HER BREATHING TUBE! THEY DONT KNOW HOW LONG SHE WILL SURVIVE AFTER THEY REMOVE THE TUBE! THEY ASK THAT NO ONE COME TO THE HOSPITAL TO VISIT! SHE IS IN ICU! PLEASE PLEASE PRAY FOR LINDA! MAY GOD BLESS HER!
