Here's an update worth noting: In addition to my photos I had uploaded to the Reunoon Pictures section, Gary Young had the engenuity and took the time to upload all of the photos taken by the photographer Saturday night, and has added his own photos as well!! Look to the black column to the left of this message and click on Reunion Pictures. You will see duplicates of most of the photos taken by the photographer. Included in her photo link are the originals and also her lightened or brightened versions so faces could be more easily seen.
You should also be able to view the photos, for a time a least, by clicking on this:

Can you believe our 50h Reunion of the Fort Madison High School Class of 1974 has come and gone?! Even with all the scheduled events, their never seemed to be quite enough time to visit with everybody or to visit as meaningfully as we'd have liked. Still, some fun times were remembered and new memories were made.
We have so many people to thank for their time and efforts (we started about a year ago!) in helping plan and and make this weekend a reality: Gary Young created this site and so many of the digital documents and records for our 40th reunion that we built upon for this 50h Reunion and did yeoman's work to upload the photographer's and his photos and also to create a Google link (to be shared soon), Pat Mahoney shared his ideas, woodworking talents and memories and experiences of being a member of the 40th reunion planning committee, Vicki Butler Slater served as our Saturday and Sunday cateress of fabulous food and beverages and also secured our photographer and cake/cookie baker, Kristy Kraft Eaves, our Funmeister/Decorations lead/meeting host/T-shirt designer/liaison with artist Dan Hatala and his beautiful gift was Carol Schroeder Christiansen, Kathy Bartlett shared in planning and decorating duties and arranged for our school tour and got Plasma to show up, Connie Beelman Basham created the beautiful In Memorium table with the twinkling lighted tribute tree, Lisa Easley D'Aunno scanned hundreds of photos from our yearbooks to develop the wonderful Class of 1974 PowerPoint and the poignant In Memorium PowerPoint, Sue Noll Dyer led the address research process and updated our huge classmate address database (for the how many-eth time!!) and also worked on this site, our Treasurer/ bookkeeper/registration recipient/mailing queen/meeting host was our "rock" Becky Pohlpeter Baker, LeeAnn Shaw Tatum had very cool decaled corn hole games made and drove them hundreds of miles to Iowa for our silent auction (party some day at Randy & Peg Hasenclever's!!), Trish Evans Mason collected names and hosted one of our fun monthly meetings, Sue Burk always brought home baked treats to our meetings and had great ideas, Steve Sandbothe helped us remember our roots, Sally Loveday Pollpeter asked great questions, Gerri Davis shared wonderful memories and then suffered a heart attack just before our reunion and STILL helped with set up (!), Tim Painter helped create thought provoking trivia questions and shared his great voice during karaoke, Dan Hatala shared his amazing artistic talents by donating a gorgeous painting of the renovated Jr/Wr High School to the school in our Class's name, and our spouses and friends provided so much support! And everyone on the committee and more helped with set up and decorating on Thursday and Friday and tear down Saturday night!! Then, after we posted the group photo, Kim Reeder Stoudenmire and Anne Newberry Feillman created an extremely useful name key to accompany the large group photos. I know I've missed some important folks, so I'll check my notes and keep updating this post! (Let me know if I missed you!)
My personal phone photos from the weekend and the group photos taken by the photographer are in the Reunion Photos section (see column on the left) and will soon be joined by all of the photos taken by the photographer. I may need additional help from our technical gurus Sue Noll Dyer and maybe Gary Young to make that happen!
Mark you calendar now for next year and the following years: the 3rd Saturday in September we plan to meet at Turnwater Bar and Grill for appetizers and a social! Until then!
-Becky Schroeder Rump (agenda maker/minutes taker/meeting host)
