John, you have left us way too soon, but with sadness in my heart, I reflect on all the fond memories from the past. You're the kid from Texas that I met in the 4th grade at Richardson school who said you've never seen snow. I was kind of shocked, not knowing the heat down there. We grew up in school together, played street football together, and eventually high school football. The Mexican village was a gathering spot for our friends and sports. We never had all the tech stuff, games and such to distract us from playing like kids should play. The last few years we stayed in touch via Facebook and Messenger. I always enjoyed your enthusiasm for the Packers. You always got a kick out of my enthusiasm for the 49ers. You recently shared your phone number with me and in my procrastination, sadly I never called and talked. Life is short and uncertain, and this lesson learned will help me not to procrastinate. I pray that you're in the presence of the Lord now, and of course pain free. Compadres always.......    <3
