David Bauer

David was born on April 2, 1948 in Evansville, IN and lost his battle with cancer October 9, 2008.  David was a loving husband, father and friend, who loved life and his family. 

He was a multi-faceted aviator over a 44 year span.  He seved as a Lt Col USAF Reserve, a Captain with Western/Delta Airlines, a Cascade Warbirds Squadron Ops Officer, among other aviation related positions.

David is survived by his wife Kathleen, sons Matthew, Samuel and Joseph, his faithful golden Jack, and many relatives and friends. 

Services were held at Tahoma National Cemetery on Tuesday, October 14 followed by a reception at the Boeing Museum of Flight. Remembrances to Bauer Boys College Fund.

David had a wonderful laugh, and he was so much fun to be around.  He was larger than life and, perhaps, that's why he isn't with us anymore.

We were in the Civil Air Patrol together.  From a very early age he said he was going to be a

pilot and he did become a pilot, just like he said.  Great guy!  Many fond memories with him.

We were also neighbors at Orange Blossom Estates way back in Junior High.

David was not only witty but very intelgent and knew when he want to do something he didn't stop till it was complete. He will be missed.....and there will always be a pleasant memory.
