Clyde Suit, age 67 entered into rest on the morning of Sunday, January 3, 2016, husband of Anne Perkins Suit.

Born in Fort Pierce, Florida on November 4, 1948, a son of the late Robert Napolian Suit and Hazel Melton Suit Landrum. He graduated from Dan McCarty High School, class of 1966.

Deciding to fulfill his natural calling of helping others by becoming a firefighter, Clyde attended the fire academy of Miami, Florida. After two years serving the Metro-Dade Fire Department he became a member of the St. Lucie County Fire District in 1972, proudly serving for 27 years, retiring at rank of Captain.

A proud firefighter and former manager of Fort Pierce Skateland, he also spent many years raising cattle. He was a member of Tarboro Hunt Club in South Carolina for many years enjoying the sport with his sons and sons in law.

Having a passion for avionics since childhood, many of his happiest years were spent flying his Piper Cherokee. When he and Anne were not enjoying family and friends, they divided their time between their Air Park home and home in South Carolina.

Clyde is survived by his wife of 39 years, Anne; sons, Clint Stuhr (Jessica), Michael (Vanessa) and Zachary Suit; daughters, Celeste La Fountain (Henry) and Tiffany Lee (Mark); grandchildren; Stephan Suit, Whitney Taylor, Ariel Leacock, Bailey and Colton Stuhr, Jake and Breanna Lee, Mason Hayes Suit; great-grandchildren, Kaydence Leacock, Layla and Jason Taylor; his mother, Hazel Landrum; brothers, Robert Suit and Ronald Suit; sister, Jane Maheuron as well as special children Brian Linn, Vanessa Beaty, Baron Taylor and large extended family.

Relatives and friends are invited to join the family of Clyde Suit, for funeral services at Yates Funeral Home. Family will receive friends in Yates Funeral Chapel, 1101 South US Highway One, Fort Pierce, FL 34950, between 11:00am and 1:00pm before the service at 1:00pm, Wednesday, January 6, 2016.

Interment will be at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens.
Memorial Contributions may be made to Treasure Coast Hospice.
Arrangements are entrusted to Yates Funeral Home.

Clyde was a kind and wonderful young man in high school.  As an adult he was even more, he will be missed greatly.  His family has my condolence, my prayers are with you during this trying time.

So sorry to hear about Clyde's passing. I remember him as being a very kind and gently person.He was married to my cousin Ann Perkins. My deepest sympathies to all of his family and friends.  Babbi

Clyde Suit was a really nice young guy in high school.  Unfortunately distance separated us from seeing each other.  I am really sorry for his family in his loss.  God Bless.

We are so sad to hear this news.  Clyde was a very nice guy and will be missed by his family and all of his friends from DMHS.  Our prayers will continue for his family.
