Corey Castell, 57, died Jan. 15, 2007, at home.
He was born in Live Oak and was a lifetime resident of Fort Pierce.
He was a graduate of Dan McCarty High School, class of 1968, and Florida State University with a bachelor's degree in political science. He served in the Army.
He was a member of Saint Paul A.M.E. Church and a local member of the American Legion and Masonic Lodge. He was preceded in death by his mother, Sarah Knowles Mays.
Survivors include his sons, Bertram Castell and Jeremy Castell, both of Ocoee; daughter, Kari Castell of Orlando; father, Timothy Castell of Eatonville; brothers, Timothy Castell Jr. and Kelvin Castell, both of Eatonville; sisters, Regina Mays Roberts and Dorothy Chester, both of Fort Pierce; Gaye Castell and Nina Castell, both of Eatonville; and seven grandchildren.
