He was also 1994 President of Vocational Evaluation and Work Adjustment Association. Board of Directors, St. Lucie County Chapter of The American an Cancer Association. Board Member of California Association of Rehabilitation and Reemployment Professionals. Director of National Association of Rehabilitation Professionals in the Private Sector. He is survived by his wife Cindy Averbach Rubin of Encino, CA; son Seth Rubin of Encino, CA; daughter Rachel Rubin of Encino, CA; two brothers William David Rubin of Ft. Lauderdale, FL and Robert Kahn of Ft. Pierce, FL.

Mike and I went through alot and wear the best of friends in high school. i remember in driver ed class, it was his turn to drive and we where on Sunset blvd! we were talking and he let go of the steering wheel and turn all the way aroud to talk to us! As a friend he was great to have, we had long talks about our religion because he was my first Jewis friend I could talk to.
